Crab Cake

I love crab cakes. It's an American dish ,easy to serve and enjoyed as a starter . It can be fried or baked and prepared in many different styles:

French style is usually prepared with eggs, bread crumbs, chives, parsley, butter, mayonnaise or heavy cream. It is elegant, creamy, and has a buttery full mouth taste.

Southwestern style is prepared and served with typical southwestern ingredients which may or may not include: corn, red peppers, green peppers, serrano chilies, cayenne pepper, chipotle remoulade, black bean salsa, tequilla lime jalapeno cream sauce.... It has a lighter taste but has stronger aroma.

Cajun style also has eggs, bread crumbs, chives, parsley, onion, mayonnaise , paprika, hot sauce and cajun seasoning. It is spicy and has a strong aroma.

My favorite one is Maryland style at Oceanaire . It 's similar to French style but less buttery, not much filler, mostly big chunky crab meat and served with creamy sauce on the side. I usually don't use the sauce, I like the way it is, so I could taste the natural sweetness of the meat; add some tabasco sauce( if you're in the mood) for spiciness and a glass of sauvingon blanc is perfect.
